Request for Support/Sponsors
The 20th Annual Knights of Columbus Charitable Golf Tournament in support of the Ottawa Heart Institute will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Mountain Creek Golf Club, Arnprior, Ontario. This annual fraternal fundraiser event provides an opportunity to contribute to a world-renowned institution and a valued community asset that is dedicated to understanding, treating and preventing heart disease.
A goal of $10,000 has been established for this year’s tournament. We are specifically targeting funds from this year's event toward patient care equipment. If successful, our contributions from this annual event will exceed $157,000. This achievement would be impossible without the support of our community and corporate friends.
We are once again appealing to your generosity. We are in need of items for golf, raffle and silent auction prizes. Some suggested items/options are listed below:
- silent auction and raffle prizes (gift certificates, merchandise, services, etc.)
- team prizes (gift certificates, merchandise, etc.)
- buy a hole and display your company's logo/sign ($150)
- sponsor "Closest to Pin" or "Longest Drive"
- monetary donation directly to the Heart Institute (see options below)
All monies collected from the raffle/prize donations will go to the Ottawa Heart Institute. You can contact a Golf Committee member for prize pick-up.
There are a few options for providing monetary donations:
1) online credit card donations made directly to the Ottawa Heart Institute from:

2) call the Ottawa Heart Institute at 613-696-7261 and make your donation over the phone using a credit card. Please indicate that you'd like your donation to be reflected as part of the KOC485 event

3) cash or cheque - payable to: "Columbus Club - Council 485 Charitable Foundation". Cheques can be given to any Committee Member or mailed to Jim Shields 402-3099 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario K2H 5A6

We expect to have in excess of one hundred golfers participating this year. Following the golf tournament, a dinner will be served at St. Basil’s Parish Hall, 940 Rex Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario. Your contributions will be acknowledged at the golf course, during the prize presentations, in the Knights of Columbus Newsletter and on our KOC Website (www.koc485golf.ca).
